Name: Edward F. Meyerkord Date: January 23rd, 1915 - February 20th, 2010 Death Notice: Meyerkord, Edward F. Age 95, died peacefully Sat., Feb. 20, 2010. Born in 1915, he was the son of Frank and Lena Meyerkord. He grew up in Riverview and had two brothers, Frank and Raymond and a sister, Grayce. He worked as a saleman for Vess Bottling Company until he retired in 1976. He married LaVerne Gerling and was married for 57 years before LaVerne passed away in Nov. 1999. He was a proud Shiner and volunteer at St. Joseph's West Lake St. Louis Hospital up until his death. He was the dear father and father-in-law of Don (Linda) Meyerkord; he was known as "Pa" or the loving grandfather of Melissa (Tim) Jennings, Kelly (Brad) Wetzler and the late Robin Meyerkord; he was known as "Pa Pa Ed" or the loving great grandfather of Tyler, Alexis and Nikki Jennings and Kole and Alec Wetzler; he was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. Funeral Service 10:30 AM, Wednesday, Feb. 24 at HUTCHENS Mortuary, 675 Graham Rd., Florissant. Interment Salem Ev. Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation 3-8 PM, Tuesday, Feb. 23 at Hutchens.
