Beloved son of the late Charles William and Mildred Wimbush Stack; dear father of Cynthia, Jeffrey, Gregory, Andrew, Alicia and Brian; grandfather of Seth, Channing, Zachary, Jessica, Jake, Brenden, Alexa, Selena, Benjamin, Shannon, Sarah, Maggie and Quinn; great-grandfather of Isabelle and John; brother of James G. Stack; brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, friend, teacher and outdoor enthusiast. William proudly served in the US Marines Corp during the Korean War. He was a brilliant Engineer, receiving his undergraduate degree from Washington University, St. Louis and graduate degree from University of Arizona, Tuscon, AZ. He maintained a life long connection to Meramec State Park and River, Pere Marquette, Elsah and the Great River Road. He treasured the years he spent in both Germany and Ireland and is fondly remembered by his many global friends. "The music continued long after the song could no longer be heard."
